Hey fellow Blockheads, can you believe it’s already summertime? Our favorite five bad brothers from Beantown are back on tour, lighting up stages across the country in support of their latest album, Still Kids. If you haven’t had a chance to vibe with the new tracks yet, catching them live is a perfect way to experience the songs.

The Magic Summer Tour rolled into Denver on June 28, a nod to their iconic 1990 tour. In a recent Good Morning America appearance, the guys shared how this tour feels like a redemption for them, aiming to make it their best—and boy, did they deliver!

Now, I’ll admit, I didn’t grow up a day-one NKOTB fan. Missing out on MTV during my early years meant I didn’t catch their early wave. My teens were all about Backstreet Boys and NSync until the NKOTBSB tour. Since then, the new kids got my attention. I was hooked – attending shows, meeting fellow Blockheads, and soaking up every bit of the NKOTB fandom.

As a “baby Blockhead,” I’ve been lucky to experience the Package, Mixtape, and Magic Summer tours. And let me tell you, there’s something extraordinary about this edition. The energy is electric, the guys are living their best lives, and the fans? We couldn’t scream louder if we tried!

The party kicked off with DJ Jazzy Jeff and Paula Abdul. While I only caught a few of Paula’s songs (merch calls!), the vibe was infectious. VIPs got treated to the Magic Seats—no actual seats, just prime standing spots behind a hot pink barrier, getting up close with the boys for 5 songs.

From the moment the lights dimmed, it was non-stop excitement. The guys emerged with “Magic” and “Summer Love” from their latest album, and the crowd went wild. Hits like “My Favorite Girl,” “Cover Girl,” and “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” kept us dancing, while moments like seeing the guys perform “Block Party” and “Tonight” in the crowd made it unforgettable.

They wrapped up with classics like “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind)” and “Please Don’t Go, Girl,” sprinkling in a medley of new hits before the encore. DJ Jazzy Jeff joined them for a remix of “Summertime,” and then came the debut of “Kids” followed by Jordan’s heart-stopping “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever).”

Sure, some Denver Nuggets fans weren’t thrilled by the boys emerging with Celtics jerseys, but once the music started, it was all love. “Step by Step,” “Hangin’ Tough,” and “Better Days,” closed out the night.

The Magic Summer Tour isn’t just a trip down memory lane—it’s a testament to NKOTB’s lasting impact and their dedication to their fans. If you haven’t snagged your tickets yet, what are you waiting for? Join the party!

Catch them live before August 25. Get your tickets here.
